 About Brighter Together Consulting

Brighter Together was founded in 2018 by Jennifer Mitchell and Laura Thomas to advise clients looking to bring about widespread and meaningful change for their beneficiaries. Since then, Brighter Together has worked with a wide range of charities to deliver policy change, patient engagement and influencing activity. Since September 2022, it is now led by Laura Thomas, who has over twenty years of experience working in policy and influencing.

Laura Thomas

Laura leads Brighter Together and has worked with a wide range of clients, including major health charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer Now. Prior to Brighter Together, she led highly effective policy teams. As a consultant, she has delivered reports on  a wide range of health issues including dementia, MS, stroke and cancer, worked to deliver impactful internal strategy reports for major charities, facilitated events and training, conducted qualitative interviews on a range of topics and. worked with patients to ensure their voice is heard.

 

Laura started out working for an MP in the House of Commons and earned her policy stripes working at the Institute of Fundraising, so she has a good understanding of policy issues relating to charity law and fundraising. She was previously a Trustee of Abbeyfield Ickenham and Chair of the Governing Body at her children's school.
